Howdy!
Again it's been too long between posts. Sorry about that, but I have been so very busy. Blame it on the Mister. Let's see what's been going on. Hmmm where to begin.
The Mr's birthday is the 29th of June so I'll start with that week. On weight watchers I was down like 4 pounds which made a grand total of 10.4 pounds since June 1st. My weigh in day is Wednesday which was in this case, the Mr. Birthday. He wanted to go to the Cheesecake Factory of all places, so that's where we went. I was extremely good with my portion and my points so I was quite pleased. The day before the Mr's transmission on his car went kerplunk, then kerplooey! So, we had to carpool which is really difficult seeing that he works in Tampa and I work in Clearwater. It made for a VERY hectic week. VERY! We had planned a big July 2nd Luau party for Saturday and he needed to purchase a new vehicle as well that weekend all with 1 car. A Jeep Wrangler of all things, not exactly the kind of car one wants to have as their primary vehicle.
We Did have the luau and the Mr did get a new vehicle. The luau was GREAT! we had something like 23 people in the house at one time. The beverages of choice were my now famous Rum Runners, my now famous but really strong homemade Margaritas, AND Hoegaarden Weissen a Belgian Wheat Beer, plus a TON of other alcoholic beverages for people to choose from. For food, I made a Mexican bean dip which was completely GONE at the end of the evening, plus we had food from Smokey Bones, pulled pork, brisket, ribs and chicken. I'm not much of a meat eater, so I didn't get much of that. Actually I didn't get much food at all because I was playing hostess. There was only a bit of drama at the end of the evening, but either way it was a grand party. Maggie and Teddy Enjoyed it!
The next day we went car shopping in Brandon FL. It was only 374° in the car lots, yes I did actually melt a little. Monday the Mr ended up getting himself a brand new KIA Sportage. It's actually quite cute, he even got a 5-speed, which I NEVER thought he'd do. EVER. It's brown so he named it Cleveland Brown. I call it Grover Cleveland Brown and if it turns out to be a girl she'll be Foxy Brown. I prefer the name Grover, so our cars will be Goldie and Grover! Here is a picture
Anyway so now we are in our 2nd day of Tropical Storm force winds, and this nasty cat 4 storm is headed towards my home town AGAIN! Everyone cross their fingers for the folks on the Panhandle. It's going to be a rough one.
And my heart goes out to all of London for their losses.
Take care, I'll try and get back to it at a more regular basis.

Hey Lucy Jane! Sounds like a great party to. Hope you're surviving the storm, I think we're thru the worst of it down here. I really feel for the people in the Panhandle, tho, looks like it's going to be bad.

Sounds like a great party. Hope Dennis passes you by, or at the very least treats you kindly.
