I haven't posted for a while, because I didn't have much time, nor did I have that much to post about. So I'll start with last Saturday night:
Beeler's party was a blast! Her son graduated, and I got the chance to meet her daughter as well. Her youngest son wasn't there, so hopefully I'll get to meet him soon, he sounds like a riot. I made rum runners at the party and got myself goood and druuuunk! Thankfully the Mr was the driver!
Last Sunday I spent most of the day feeling icky, so I sat upstairs and watched the Law & Order SVU marathon on USA, while the Mr. went thru his entire comic book collection, it took all day!
Monday was Memorial day, and we just did our grocery shopping and then later on went to a bar in our neighborhood and played NTN trivia. It's the ONLY thing I am competitive in. I now know my super power it's "Competitive useless information girl"
Tuesday was back to the work grind, it started out rainy and I don't have the back window in my Jeep so I drove 55 miles getting covered in road spray. Charming!
It happened for the rest of the week as well. No I never did become bright enough to put the window back into the Jeep. Ya, I know I'm a damn fool.
Wednesday Beeler and I went to a weight watchers meeting. I was waiting to see if I got a job offer in Tampa before I started going to the meetings in St. Pete but I decided 3 weeks was long enough to keep that excuse going, so i went to the meeting and I now know how much I weigh, and as Dr. Phil says... "I've got to OWN it" so I have a goal now, and hope to reach it by labor day. We decided that our Big test for the week was the Friday pizza party at work. So we requested a veggie pizza with no cheese, people made fun of us, but don't you know that pizza was GONE and FAST! I have done really well this week. Thursday we had a small happy hour and I had to dip into some of my flex points, but I have 35 for the whole week. It was the alcohol that added up, my dinner instead of a fried heavy meal was a GIANT beefsteak tomato with balsamic vinegar and fresh mozzarella balls. It was fantastic!
Yesterday the Mr and I decided to spend our last 2 wedding gift cards. We got a whole new set of cookware, 16 pieces for a decent price, it was on sale and everything, then we had sushi, I had veggie rolls, they were so good. I ate really light yesterday so I could have some wine with dinner. If you like chardonnay try "Red Bicyclette" it's delish and only around 10 bucks.
Today the Mr is getting the kitchen organized, and we MIGHT go play trivia later, not sure yet though. But First I will head over to Michele's Meet&Greet and play for a while. I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!
Here's an idea for a great father's day gift:

Ya it might seem hokey, but it's for a good cause, I think I'll do that for my pops too. Plus some other stuff.
Take care!
