Violet's New GIG!

Well it happened, Violet got a new job.  I am so very happy for her.  I mean yes I too want a new job, but she was miserable here.  A lot of things have happened to her recently... divorce, broken car, just to name a small few.  This job just doesn't pay enough for either of us, but she was on her own in a house will all bills...

Here's to you Violet please enjoy your good fortune, you deserve it... please always believe in yourself. 

we are celebrating with drinks tonight, as well as tomorrow night.  For the time being I am her chauffeur, due to broken car, which she can now afford to fix and GET RID OF... (Violet get rid of that damn car!)

Monday Tidbits!

Well the glorious weekend is over, and it's Monday.  But at least it's almost 5:00 on Monday, hooray!

I am getting my new cell phone, it should be here on Wednesday, unfortunately lovely Verizon turned off my cell phone account TODAY!  Which ordinarily wouldn't bother me, but yesterday I spent 3 hours emailing recruiters for job opps.  So I am a little miffed.  At least all of the recruiters have my email address as well as my home number.  I am glad that I left Verizon though.  I found out why I was going over my minutes.  I had 125 minutes for 30 bux a month.  With T-Mobile I'll get 600 minutes for 40 bux!  I might not go over now. 

My ex-boyfriend (cool dude, yes we still speak) is into music, and makes his own songs (yes I am aware that I just sounded like a child) but I don't know how to really explain what he does.  He samples stuff like the Subway in NYC or just weird junk and makes music out of it.  He is really quite talented.  He just sent me a link to some of his stuff here it is if anyone wants to take a listen.  Enotide.  Check it out.

So I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Easter.  I just basically relaxed, oh and wrote all my thank you notes, which I forgot to mail off today, like a jerk.  I filled out my social security form to get the name changed on it.  And like I said above, I spammed a bunch of recruiters.  I do hope something comes out of it.

Yay for the Weekend!

It's Saturday, and I couldn't be happier.  I did sleep too late though. Today me and the Mr.  are going shopping to spend some of the wedding money we got.  Today I plan on getting... a TV (with a target gift card, so I can start doing pilates and yoga). 

Yesterday Mr. ordered the wine cooler cupboard thingy.  It's soo cool it holds 60 bottles of wine in a zoned cooling area.  Reds go in 1 zone, whites are cooled in another temperature zone, and champagnes are cooled in yet another.  That way our 29 bottles of wine that we bought for a fortune will keep properly.  Yay for us!

Yesterday Mr. also got a leaf blower.  Our yard is literally 4 feet big.  He was complaining that it took 10 minutes to sweep off the sidewalk and driveway and that he saw the neighbor lady use her leaf blower and it took 10 seconds. I was like... can I have that cool washer and dryer set with the dryer cabinet thing?  Because it takes me 2 days to do the laundry.  Of course I got that odd look.  I am going to keep asking about the washer/dryer system though.  I deserve it no?

So I am trying to get the coolest new cell phone via wirefly.com.  But T•Mobile isn't wanting to process my info.  I wouldn't be able to afford the phone any other way, so I guess I don't get nifty new phone.  I'm bitter.

I do hope everyone has the best of weekends.  I have 40 thank you notes to write.  I do enjoy writing them, it's so easy to say thank you, even though often times we don't.

Saving the world one instant message at the time!

So, today Pele' and I were instant messaging at work, and we both decided to share this little nugget.

here is the background info.  We are both training to help the other department with their work requests.  Basically the job entails production graphics rather than creative graphics.  While we have no issue with helping the other department.  They treat this job like it's the hardest, most important job in the universe.  I tell you, it's not.

Hey Gang,

Up in the right corner, you can see some of the pictures from our honeymoon.  FYI, "BB" stands for Bed and Breakfast.  If anyone has any questions about any of the pictures, please leave me a comment and I'll be glad to answer.

Our honeymoon was grand.  We left Monday the 14th, and flew into San Fran.  We stayed over night in San Fran, and ate at this WONDERFUL, I mean WONDERFUL little Latin American Bistro.  All of the food was organic/free range and simply divine.  I had 2 pomegranate martinis.  Sooo GOOD!  I also had some of the best guacamole ever!

Tuesday we headed out to Napa and to the CandleLight Inn.  It was the most wonderful place I have ever stayed.  We were starved so we ate at Mustard's Grille, which was amazing.  Then we went to 2 wineries.  Goosecross and Steltzner.  Both were fantastic.  At Steltzner I found my new best friend.  It's called Chaser.  I always get wine headaches, with this I never got a headache, or hungover and I drank a LOT of wine.  A LOT!

Wedded Bliss

Well my honeymoon is over (the vacationing aspect of it) but it sure has been fantastic.  I have to say that this whole wedding experience has been wonderful.

The wedding itself couldn't have come together without my cousin Stephann.  She did everything, including keep up with my mother.  This is how the wedding weekend worked:

Hitched without a Hitch!

Well gang, it's official I am a married woman!  Hooray.  The ceremony was short and to the point, the boat ride was wonderful, the weather was perfect.  I couldn't have asked for a better day.  We are headed to San Fran and Napa Valley tomorrow for the honeymoon (can't wait)!

I was expecting that either the bus would be late or something would go horribly wrong. Actually the only mishap was that many people were late to the ceremony and missed it.  I had them hold the boat for an extra 20 minutes because there was a hideous traffic jam.  But everyone except 4 people showed up and had a blast.  I don't think anyone was ready for the day to end.  It was positively perfect. 

As soon as I have some pictures I will post them.

Tomorrow it starts!

Well tomorrow my mother comes in, "C's" friends from Germany are due to show up, so there won't be too much posting between now and when the wedding is finished. 

I just found out that my hotel tried to screw over the people from Germany and the desk person was rude to them, because they didn't speak clear enough English.  I really don't know if I can be more irritated.  I will be making yet another phone call to corporate office tomorrow about this.

They work at the front desk, their job is to book rooms... why are they having so much trouble with that?  They have messed up every reservation that has been taken for this wedding.  I am not one to outwardly complain, but I have had enough. 

Anyway, hopefully all of it gets better.

7.  I got "C" a Groom shirt to wear to the Rehearsal
8.  I got a matching Bride shirt to wear to the same occasion
9.  I found my nephew a Ring Bearer shirt, since my niece has a Flower Girl shirt
10.  I get to leave @ 4:30 every day this week
11.  Had very little traffic after all of my errands today
12.  Have NEW seating chart made, and have already sent it to the boat
13.  My mom gets here on Wednesday
14.  My big boss's gift showed up today, and it was 6 place setting of our silverware
15.  My newest co-worker (great gal) sent me the wine taster's collection on our list as well.
16.  Feeling blessed!
